You will receive a basket of similar colors to this one pictured, but please keep in mind every basket is uniquely handwoven and differs in design. In the Bolgatanga area of Ghana, these baskets are traditionally used for carrying goods to and from the market. Weavers in the region use the abundant Veta vera grass to weave these incredibly hardy, useful baskets. Please note that if color looks black on your screen, it is actually a very, very dark blue. Easily reshape your basket by quickly submerging in water, reshape by hand and hang to dry.

This dye free basket is woven of natural grass. When young, the grass has more of a fresh spring green tint, resulting in light green variations after the grass has been harvested and dried. As the grass matures, it takes on a more golden tone. The basket you receive will include varying rangers of pale golden-green to a rich gold.
